Artists in the streets

One of the highlights for students from the different Claude Reynier workshops is to spend a day in one of the local villages. Each student brings with them their canvases, brushes and paints and spends the day painting in the streets of the village they visit.

In 2007 Claude Reynier arranged for students to spend one summer’s day in the village of Margon. Here, the students could capture the life and colour of a typical south of France village. The village has rustic charm; old village houses, a church dating from 1652 and a beautiful medieval château. Excellent opportunities for students to practise their art.

And of course, during a warm summer’s day, how wonderful to complete the afternoon in the local village restaurant, with good food, wine and hospitality.
